This will serve as an index of any notes that I add that relate to the photos in some way. These will lean towards short bits vs essays. What you won't see is anything resembling a blog, re-posts to gain content, advertising, click-bait, or any other of the stuff that seems to make up most of the web. What you will find may not be of any more interest than what I stated above but that's the nature of life. As my website it will have what I want, not what Google, "internet experts" bloggers, "influencers" or any of those pesky advertisments. I'm providing numerous locations that I regularly visit as well as a few that I have only visited once. For those I use their own description from their site as well as a website link and address
About This Website - Brief description of myself and this website.
Credit & Thanks - Thanks to some people that made creating this website easier.
Photography Equipment - Brief description of my camera, lenses, related gear and my impressions of each.
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary - A favorite sanctuary of mine that's fairly close and always enjoyable is run by the National Audubon Society.
CREW Bird Rookery Swamp Trail - The Corkscrew Regional Ecosytem Watershed (CREW) Land & Water Trust is probably my most visited site.Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge - A nice variety of birds, visit at dusk to see hundreds of White Ibis fly in to spend the night.
Green Cay Nature Center - This location was an unexpected surprise. While i had heard of it I had no idea it would be a photographer's dream.
Eagle Lakes Community Park - A local park for kids with some nice walking paths, ponds and birds away from the activity and streets.
J. N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge - This is a treasure of world recognition and the first place I saw Roseated Spoonbills.
Wakodahatchee Wetlands - Like then Green Cay Nature Center, this provided jaw dropping views of a variety of birds in breeding colors.
Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge - Not a very well maintained refuge which was a disappointment after experiences other refuges.Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve - Another area I enjoy exploring that always has something interesting to stumble upon.
Swamp Buggy Races - A fun day of racing, water, fast & slow buggy races and noise.
St. Augustine Alligator Park Wading Bird Rookery - We expected to see a bunch of gators and were pleasantly surprised by all the breeding birds.Shark Valley - Everglades National Park - I got some of my favorite shots here since you get unusually close to the birds.
Collier-Seminole State Park - Interesting to see the Bay City Walking Dredge that was custom built in 1924 to build the Tamiami Trail Highway.
Janes Scenic Drive - This is a one-way drive that dead ends where a gate has been built to limit traffic preserving the natural environment.
Picayune Strand State Forest - Vast area with curious roads and signs until the history of this are is known.
Much more to come as time allows...
