One of the places like to visit is the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge Marsh Trail that includes a mile-long hiking trail, canoe and kayak trails, and an observation tower overlooking the marsh.

I'm always happy to spot some birds and was astounded on my first visit here when, around dusk, I watched hundreds of mostly White Ibis gather in the trees for the night. The birds were not just White Ibis but were certainly the majority.
